Our Annual Report looks back at our performance from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. It shares the progress we have made, the difference our services have made to customers and communities, and the areas where we know we need to improve.

During the year, we invested £12.7 million in existing homes, carried out 16,403 day-to-day repairs and completed 6,622 safety checks. We also completed 24 new homes in Garston and continued work on a further 204 homes across Speke, Garston and Aigburth.

Eight in ten tenants told us they were satisfied with the overall service provided by SLH. We saw improvements across most Tenant Satisfaction Measures, with particularly strong results for treating tenants fairly and with respect, providing safe homes and maintaining communal areas.

We are also open about where we need to do better. Repairs, communication about appointments and following up when something has not been resolved remain important areas for improvement. The report explains the action we are taking in response.

Listening and acting

Customer feedback shaped improvements to the kitchen programme, hate crime support, customer involvement and the new SLH website. The report also introduces the Tenant Voice Team, which gives more tenants flexible opportunities to review services, suggest improvements and hold SLH to account.

Where we need to improve

We know that repairs and communication remain important areas of dissatisfaction. During 2026/27, our focus will include keeping customers better informed, responding more quickly, improving workmanship and taking greater ownership when an issue needs further work.

Looking ahead

The report outlines priorities including a new Corporate Plan, more affordable homes, stronger customer involvement, clearer access to organisational information, improvements to green spaces and continued development of SLH’s anti-racism work.
