Pride in Place is about putting local people at the heart of decisions, giving you a real say in the improvements that matter most to your community.
The UK-wide programme will invest up to £20 million over 10 years in neighbourhoods identified by the government as most in need of support.
Speke East is one of four Pride in Place areas in Liverpool set to benefit from £20m funding over the next 10 years.
A Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board has now been formed, following an application process over the summer, and one of its first priorities is to understand what matters most to people who live and work in Speke East.
The money is there to build and improve the area, including community facilities, sports provision, parks and places to meet.
Have your say
We’re hosting a Pride in Place focus group on behalf of the Neighbourhood Board, and we’d love to hear your views.
Come along to The Market Place Social on Tuesday 27 October, between 4pm and 6pm, to share your feedback on the consultation questions and have your say on what matters to your community.
This feedback will then help shape the Board’s plans and inform how funding is spent to make a positive difference in Speke East.
