We had a brilliant day in Arden Drive, Speke as part of our ‘Popping up in your neighbourhood’ events, bringing people together and listening to what matters most locally.
It was great to see such a strong turnout, with residents of all ages getting involved. Families enjoyed the ice cream, pizzas and face painting, while the younger residents really got stuck in helping out alongside volunteers from the Speke Wombles with litter picking across the area.
One of the highlights of the day was gathering feedback from both children and adults about what makes a good neighbourhood. We received some fantastic ideas and suggestions, which we’ll use to shape a new Good Neighbour Agreement for the area and share back with residents.
A big thank you goes to the children who attended. Their enthusiasm, good manners and willingness to help really stood out and made the day even more special.
Our team also took the opportunity to speak with residents about any concerns, complete a number of door knocks and pick up some repair issues. We shared information about HomeSwapper and how to keep profiles up to date, helping residents make the most of the service.
We also identified some issues around bin storage, which will now become a focus for a new improvement project in the area.
Overall, it was a positive and productive day, and a great example of how working together can help strengthen our communities while having a bit of fun along the way.
