Let's shape our anti-racism strategy together!

We’re developing our anti-racism strategy and want to hear from local people to shape what it looks like to make sure you feel safe, valued and listened to.

Creating our anti-racism strategy with equity and fairness means it will be at the heart of everything we do.

Your input is an important step to building the strategy, and you are invited to join us for an interactive workshop on Tuesday 9 June, 3.30pm - 6pm at The Market Place.

Everyone who attends will receive a £30 shopping voucher for taking part.

What to expect

It will be a safe, inclusive space where all participants will be given the opportunity to share their views and ask questions.

Different tables will be focused on key themes. You can move between activities, share your views, and feed directly into shaping the strategy.

At the workshop, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Have your say and ask questions in an open and safe environment
  • Explore what race and racism mean in everyday life
  • Take part in conversations about making it easier and safer for people to report racism with confidence
  • Be part of creating a more anti-racist environment across our communities

We’d love families to get involved, too. There will be a dedicated space where young people can share their thoughts on creating a safe, inclusive place to live.

There will be free refreshments.

If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] to register.
