We are deeply saddened by the horrific events that unfolded during a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney this week. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the victims, their families, the Jewish community, and all those affected by this appalling act of violence.
At a time that should have been marked by light, peace, and community, so many lives were devastated. We stand in solidarity with Jewish communities here in south Liverpool, UK and around the world who are understandably shaken and grieving.
As a housing association rooted in values of safety, respect, and inclusion, we want to reassure our residents and partners that we remain committed to fostering welcoming neighbourhoods where people of all faiths and backgrounds feel protected and valued. Acts of hatred or antisemitism have no place in our communities.
We continue to work closely with local partners, community groups, and safety organisations to ensure that anyone who feels vulnerable or concerned knows where to access support. We encourage residents to reach out to us if they need reassurance, signposting, or someone to speak to.
During difficult moments such as this, the strength of community matters more than ever. We stand together in compassion and unity, and the shared belief that hatred will not prevail.
