Dust off your gardening gloves, as we launch The Big SLH Garden Competition!
We’re celebrating our customers who take pride in their outdoor spaces, whether they’re big, small, or somewhere in between.
From colourful back gardens and tidy yards to beautiful hanging baskets and window boxes, we want to see how you’ve been making your space bloom. Got a thriving veg patch, a neatly clipped hedge, or a planter you’re particularly proud of? We’d love to see it!
No matter the size of your garden or growing space, this competition is all about sharing the joy of gardening and celebrating the effort you put into making it look great.
We have three categories for you to consider entering including;
- Best garden for nature and biodiversity
- Best use of space
- Most colourful or eye-catching garden
Come and get some growing tips!
The competition is in partnership with Grow Speke, and we’ll be hosting a handful of growing advice sessions at the community garden over the coming months.
Looking for tips on how to revive your garden or get your unloved flower bed to bloom? From planting spring bulbs to understanding what’s a weed and what’s a hidden wonder, pop along to the garden on Friday 10 April from 11am to speak to our planting pros.
There will be a Q&A session with our Grow Speke colleagues and you can wander around the site and take inspiration for your own outdoor space.
Your guide to gardening
Looking after your garden is part of your tenancy, and we have a handy 12-month guide on our website that will help you keep it neat, healthy, and enjoyable all year round.
