These pitta pockets are the perfect veggie packed lunch. Just add your favourite toppings!
- wholemeal pittas
- 1 cup of chopped salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato)
- ½ cup of grated cheese
- 4 tbsp hummus or cream cheese
Tip: Halloumi, mushrooms or peppers will add more flavour and make your lunch a little more exciting!
- Warm the pittas in the toaster, then slice open.
- Spread with hummus or cream cheese inside.
- Fill with salad and cheese.
- Gently fry the halloumi till golden on each side or pop in the air fryer for 6 minutes.
- Add if your extra toppings if you're feeling adventurous!
Tip: Add leftover chicken or beans for extra protein.
