South Liverpool Homes (SLH) has joined JV North to deliver low-carbon homes during the 2021/26 Affordable Homes Programme.
JV North is a consortium of housing associations in the North of England, formed to address the housing shortage in the region. It comprises 12 member organizations that work together to deliver affordable housing and improve the quality of homes and communities.
SLH becomes a consortium member alongside Bury Council, Johnnie Johnson Housing, One Manchester, Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, Muir Group, Plus Dane Housing, Sovini, Stockport Homes, Torus, Weaver Vale Housing Trust and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.
“Having access to the consortium’s framework and applying for vital Homes England grants through JV North means we can accelerate our development programme further."

Our development programme
SLH has a development programme that will see it build 280 properties in the current Homes England programme.
It is aiming to deliver the majority with an EPC rating of A – the highest level possible – to reduce both carbon emissions and tenant fuel bills while helping Liverpool City Council achieve net-zero targets.
Becoming a full member also gives SLH a seat on the consortium’s decision-making Board for operational matters.
Director of Assets and Development at SLH, Angela Perry, said: “JV North has a compelling offer that is the perfect fit for us as we continue with our development programme to build 280 homes across Speke and Garston by 2027.
“Having access to the consortium’s framework and applying for vital Homes England grants through JV North means we can accelerate our development programme further.
“It provides an opportunity to work closely with other consortium members to share knowledge, data and intelligence which is invaluable to us as we forge a brighter future for those in need of decent and affordable homes.”
Chair of JV North, John Bowker, who is also Executive Director of Operations at Stockport Homes Group, said: “We are really pleased to welcome South Liverpool Homes and they will no doubt strengthen the consortium with valuable input at both Board level and in our Development Group.
“In a challenging financial environment, being able to share knowledge and experiences with a greater number of peers operating in the same space provides benefits for all members.”
