Anna Bishop, who joins South Liverpool Homes (SLH) as our new CEO today, says she’s really excited to start her role and help make a difference to the Speke and Garston community.

Anna previously worked as Chief Operating Officer at One Manchester where she was responsible for housing management, repairs, and asset management. She has over 25 years’ experience in the housing sector, previously working at The Riverside Group where she held a number of positions including Director of Customer Services, Interim Director of South Region, as well as leading on neighbourhood regeneration in Liverpool.

Anna is looking forward to working in a community-focused organisation that understands and listens to their community. In the first few weeks, her priority is to get a deeper understanding of how the organisation works and the areas we serve by getting out and about with customer-facing teams including housing officers and the environmental team.

She understands the importance of having a decent home and believes this is fundamental to help improve people’s life chances.

Anna replaces Julie Fadden who left South Liverpool Homes earlier in the year. Ian Cresswell, SLH’s Director of ICT, stepped up to Interim Chief Executive over the last nine months.

David Jepson, Chair of the SLH Board said: “It’s fantastic to have Anna as part of the SLH team. The board and executive are looking forward to working with Anna to ensure we meet the objectives set out in our recent five-year corporate plan. Delivering great homes, strong communities and bright futures in Speke/Garston remains our focus.”
