Just like moving into a newly-renovated home, we’ve been busy behind the scenes giving everything a good tidy-up, adding some new touches, and making sure it’s easier than ever for you to find what you need.
Our improvements started with you
Earlier this year we asked you to have your say on our new website. 340 of you responded via an online survey and in-person focus groups. You told us that;
- You found the old navigation confusing and hard to navigate
- The homepage needed an overhaul
- Our previous site’s search function wasn’t always effective
- Pages were often too text-heavy without enough visual breaks and some of the language could have been clearer
So, what have we done?
Firstly, we have a fresh, new look. The new website is clean, modern, and designed with you in mind.
The website is easier to navigate. Like an organised kitchen, you’ll find your way around in no time. We’ve grouped together your essential services, like repairs, tenancy and support, under Your home, so everything is in one place and just a few clicks away.
Need advice on money, wellbeing, or feeling safer in your neighbourhood? Supporting you is your go-to, packed with practical tips, trusted links to partners and community safety information.
You told us that you tend to visit our website on your phone, so a mobile-friendly design was key. Whether you’re popping in from your phone or tablet, the website works well across all devices.
Accessibility plays a key role in the redesign. The new site features alt text for every photo, improved colour contrast and clearer links on all pages. The layout is now more dyslexia-friendly too, ensuring a better customer experience.
We’ve built this space to be more than just a website. We’ve introduced a new section called Your Community and Events. This is a place where you can stay up to date with what is happening in your community. From local community events to neighbourhood inspections, you’ll find a calendar of activities for the coming months.
