Build your community for Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week is around the corner, and we’re gearing up to host a series of inclusive events and workshops from Monday 12 – Friday 16 May. 

This year's theme focuses on the Importance of community. 

Throughout the week, we’ll be delivering a variety of activities and workshops for you, designed to boost community spirit and promote mental health.  

From taking part in volunteer gardening sessions, to a mental health workshop and mindful meditation session, the week will create a supportive environment for open discussions and shared experiences. 

Check out our timetable of events below:  

Monday 12 May  

• Mind Connect 10.30am - 11.15am at Grow Speke. Tap into the importance of taking care of your mental health  

• Meditation and sound bath from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Grow Speke 

Tuesday 13 May 

• Knit and Natter is on from10am – 1pm at The Market Place Social. 

• Gardening for wellbeing will run from 10.30am - 3pm at Grow Speke 

Wednesday 14 May 

• Mosaic art workshop, 10am – 12pm at The Market Place Social 

• Baby yoga, 1pm – 2.30pm at The Market Place Social  

Thursday 15 May 

• Wellbeing Walk from Garston Children’s Centre, 11am – 12.30pm. Short, accessible community walk for all, followed by tea and cakes.  

Friday 16 May  

• Coffee and Chat is on at The Market Place Social, 10.30am - 12.30pm. We’ll be joined by The NHS Walton Centre, chatting about access to health services.
