We’re supporting Liverpool Citizens Assembly!

Published: 25 October 2024
SLH is a member of Liverpool Citizens, a group of organisations, including housing associations, schools, community groups and charities, that have come together to create a panel of citizens to tackle the issues that are impacting our communities.
The panel brings together a diverse range of voices from Liverpool’s communities to help make Liverpool a healthier, happier and safer place for all.
This November we are supporting Liverpool Citizens Assembly, and we would like you to join us! It takes place on Monday 18 November 2024, 5.45pm, at St George’s Hall.
They want to hear from people across all different areas of Liverpool so that you can contribute your thoughts and ideas on five key themes that impact local people;
- Cost of living
- Housing
- Transport
- Health
- Community Services
Who will be attending?
Key officers from Liverpool City Council will be attending, including;
- Councillor Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council
- Cabinet Member for Innovation, Nicola Butterworth
- Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Housing at Liverpool City Council
- Professor Matt Ashton, the Director of Public Health for Liverpool City Council.
Representatives from Arriva and Merseytravel have also confirmed their attendance.
How can you get involved?
If you would like to join us at the Liverpool Citizens Assembly, please email getinvolved@southliverpoolhomes.co.uk to register.We are providing transport from Speke and Garston to the assembly on Monday 18 November at St George’s Hall.
Following the assembly, we will be hosting a series of listening groups. This is the space to speak up, feed into the issues discussed at the assembly and help us develop a plan to address the five priority themes.
The more people that feed into the conversation, the better.
