November winter wellness events in Speke and Garston

This November we’re hosting two events in Speke and Garston, to help you stay warm and well this winter. We’ve partnered with Swagga Primary Care Network to provide general health advice and talk through your cost-of-living concerns.  

We’ll be in Speke on Tuesday 14 November, from 10am till 2pm at Parklands Atrium, just outside the SLH offices and Speke library. 

And you’ll find us in Garston on Friday 17 November, between 10am and 2pm at St Michael’s Church on Church Road, L19 8EA.  

What’s happening 

• Get your blood pressure, BMI and cholesterol checked  
• Book your winter flu vaccination  
• Speak to our benefits and energy advice team about ways to manage your energy bills and have a free benefit check to see if there are payments you could be entitled to 
• Find out about SLH’s wellbeing groups and events  
• Learn more about our Warm Hub, The Market Place Social  
• Meet us and other organisations who can provide wellbeing support
• Plus, we’ll be giving away free blankets, throws and furniture too 

Free refreshments will be provided from our friends at Zero Waste Liverpool. The team will be giving away free bowls of soup, as well as bags of free food, rescued from landfill.  

Additional support 

If you have a question about your tenancy or rent, our reception will be open during the Speke event from 10am and 2pm.  

And our community shop, The Market Place, will be open too from 10am till 1pm. Stop by the shop during the event to pick up some groceries or sign up to become a member.  

If you’re based in Garston, St Michael’s food bank will be open between 12.30pm and 2.30pm during the event too.
