Be a Climate Change Champion and help SLH create a greener South Liverpool

Published: 10 September 2020
Climate change is high on everyone’s agenda and an issue that everyone can impact upon, whether that’s at a global or a local level.
That’s why we’ve set up a project group at SLH to develop local plans to combat climate change in our neighbourhoods and get the whole community working together for a greener South Liverpool.
We’ve already made some big first steps towards a greener future.
- We’ve fitted over 800 homes with solar PV panels to help harness free green energy from the sun.
- Our modular homes at Greenway Road are saving tenants an estimated 20% on their heating bills.
- Our community garden, Grow Speke, is producing sustainable, locally-sourced food while helping to reduce greenhouse gases.
But we could do so much more as a community. That’s why we’re asking for your help and ideas.
Get involved
- What do you understand about climate change?
- How can we impact on climate change locally?
- What other community based initiatives could we work on together to do our bit?
- Would you be interested in getting involved at the next level as a Climate Change Champion?
Please take five minutes to complete our survey and help us understand your vision for a greener South Liverpool.
