Work to recommence on Hale Cottages

Published: 26 May 2020
Following the latest guidance from the Government, we will be re-commencing work on our Hale Cottages project in Speke from 1 June.
Avela Developments started work on the site in March 2020 to restore the three 18th century Grade II listed cottages, owned by SLH, as well as delivering 17 two-bedroom bungalows on the land surrounding the cottages.
Work stopped due to the cororavirus outbreak, to protect the health and wellbeing of staff, tenants, and the wider community. This was the right decision at the time however now that some restrictions have eased, we will start up again on site abiding strictly to Government health and safety guidance.
Residents living close to the development will receive a letter from Avela Developments advising them that work is resuming.
We promised to invite the local community to a consultation event when we start up on site, in addition to the consultation events we held at planning stages. Although it is not practical to do this face-to-face because of the current social distancing rules, it is really important that we hear your views and let us know of any concerns or questions you have so that we can respond to them.
We will do this through our Facebook page. Please visit www.facebook.com/southliverpoolhomes and look for our pinned post about Hale Cottages - where you can ask us any questions about the development. Alternatively email halecottages@southliverpoolhomes.co.uk.
We will keep the consultation open until Wednesday 3 June and will respond to your queries shortly after this date.
