Coronavirus: How we can support vulnerable people in our community
Published: 20 March 2020
Like many people you might be looking for ways that you can play your part to help people in our communities during this uncertain and worrying time.
Liverpool City Council is looking for people or groups to join its Liverpool Volunteer Scheme to help tackle loneliness, pick up prescriptions and offer other practical support to vulnerable people throughout the coronavirus outbreak.
If you are in urgent need of support you can also request help from the Liverpool Good Neighbour Scheme.
As a community-based housing association we’re working hard behind the scenes with local partners like Five Children’s Centre to see how we can support Liverpool City Council’s city-wide response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Our Tenancy Sustainabilty Team is making contact with older vulnerable tenants known to us to make sure they have everything they need and offer regular wellbeing calls . If you know of anyone in urgent need with no family support who might need our help, call us on 0330 303 3000 and ask for the Tenancy Sustainability Team.
Please share this post in your networks and let’s help build a network to support our neighbours through this unprecedented time.
