South Liverpool Homes continues to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Wellbeing at work
Published: 20 February 2020
South Liverpool Homes (SLH) has been recognised by Great Place to Work® as a Centre of Excellence in Wellbeing for the second consecutive year, demonstrating their commitment to creating a happier and healthier work environment.
This recognition comes on the back of their employees completing the Great Place to Work® survey in October 2019 which is designed to measure the levels of wellbeing in the workplace. Comprising 17 statements of personal perceptions, the survey seeks employees’ experiences and views on six areas that underpin wellbeing – work environment, financial security, mental and physical health, interpersonal relationships, work-life balance and fulfilment at work.
SLH has a range of initiatives designed to support colleagues wellbeing, whether at work or home. They offer a truly flexible approach to working, practical support for positive mental and physical health as well providing free weekly fruit deliveries and birthday leave.
Colin Gibson, Director of Culture & Communications at SLH is delighted with this recognition: “We are always looking at fresh ways we can support the wellbeing of colleagues here at SLH. We have recently implemented our bespoke wellbeing programme which consists of a range of events, activities and promotions throughout the year that are designed to keep colleagues healthy, happy and balanced at work and at home.
“Whilst the programme has proved to be very popular with colleagues, we understand that wellbeing is more than just offering a range of initiatives. We are very proud to have created an environment where people feel like they can openly talk about their wellbeing and are happy to be themselves. To be recognised again by Great Place to Work® as a Centre of Excellence in Wellbeing is a fantastic reflection on the special culture we have here.”
