Coffee and a chat group launches at The Market Place

A new group is being launched at The Market Place that aims to bring people together over coffee and a chat. If you want to come and meet some new people, chat to a friendly face or just get out of the house for a bit, then come along and try it out!
Starting on 31 January 2020, the group will be meeting every Friday for the next five weeks. You can pop in any time between 12pm and 3pm for tea, coffee, and biscuits and good company. Anyone can attend, and children are very welcome too.
The purpose of the coffee and chat group is to try and reduce isolation within the community. The group is being led by South Liverpool Homes and Imagine Independence; a Liverpool-based charity dedicated to helping people with mental and physical health issues to live independently.
Thomas Hayes, one of the volunteers from South Liverpool Homes said:
“Many of us can struggle to meet new people and develop connections as adults. We want to show that whatever your age or circumstance, it’s never too late to meet new people and improve your social life, your emotional health and your overall wellbeing.”
