SLH carry out improvements to your home through our Planned Improvements Programme. This includes works such as replacement or upgrade of kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems. When the time comes for your home to be included in any of the above programmes, we will let you know when it is going to happen, who will do it and when it is likely to start and finish.

The SLH Home Standard
The SLH Home Standard is a quality of home that; meets the standards as set out by Governmentās Decent Homes, meets theĀ Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) minimum safety standards for housing, is in a reasonable state of repair with reasonably modern facilities and services and has efficient heating and provides reasonable degree of thermal comfort.
The SLH Home Standard provides a cost-effective repairs and maintenance service, responding to the needs of, and offers choices to, our tenants.Ā The objective is to attend every appointment in time and complete the repairs and improvements within agreed time scales and to also meet all applicable statutory requirements that provide for the health and safety of the occupants of our homes.
In delivering our repairs service the SLH Home Standard ensures an appropriate balance of planned and responsive repairs, and value for money including responsive and cyclical repairs, planned and capital work, work on empty homes, and adaptations (we co-operate with relevant organisations to provide an adaptations service that meets tenantsā needs).
