Frances
38 years ago, Frances, her husband and the youngest four of her seven children moved from Dingle to Garston, where 91-year-old Frances lives to this day.
Gill
Finding somewhere you feel safe and connected is one of the most important things in life. So, we were thrilled to speak to Gill, who since 1998, has called Garston home.
Mary
Mary moved into her home in Speke in the early seventies with her husband Sid and their two children. Now 90 years old, Mary shares the home with Bootsy the cat, and a lifetime of memories.
Shirley
Shirley moved to Speke from Wavertree in 1998 with her husband and four daughters, pregnant with her fifth child. A year later, SLH was formed and took over her home, a place that she and her husband later chose to buy and make their own.
James
South Liverpool Homes Environmental Officer James Fay was born in 1999, the same year that SLH was formed. Born and raised in south Liverpool, James’ role is far from backward looking. He’s looking forward to a cleaner, greener south Liverpool for generations to come.
Kelly
Neighbourhood Management Officer Kelly is one of our longest-serving colleagues, one of two SLH employees who have been with us since day one; from young apprentice with Liverpool City Council to one of our most experienced Neighbourhood Management Officers.
Tommy
Environmental Manager, Tommy Nolan, is born and bred in Garston and has worked for South Liverpool Homes since it was formed in 1999, progressing from a caretaker in the early days to leading a close-knit team of environmental wardens, who look after the communal gardens and open spaces across our communities, and a lot more besides.
