Julie Fadden - Chief Executive
Julie has worked in housing and regeneration for 39 years, starting on the public counter at the age of 18.
Julie has worked as Chief Executive at SLH for the past 13 years and has proved that if you have the right people, the right focus and put the effort in, you can turn a loss-making organisation into a profitable one and a poor-performing housing service into one of the best in the country.
Nia Hughes - Executive Director of Finance
Nia joined SLH in 2018 having previously worked as Assistant Director of Finance at Muir Group Housing Association.
Nia started her career in audit at PwC in Bristol and brings experience from numerous finance roles in the private and not for profit sector. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants and an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Her responsibilities include business planning, financial management, insurance and treasury planning.
Ian Cresswell – Executive Director of Innovation and Technology & Risk
Ian started work in the housing sector in 1994 as a Technical Support Officer for Liverpool Housing Trust.
He spent eight years there learning his trade before he became Head of ICT at Plus Dane Housing Group, then Head of ICT at Muir Group. He joined SLH in January 2009.
Ian has overall responsibility for ICT, data protection, internal audit, performance management and customer feedback.
Claire Ryan - Executive Director of Investment & Assurance
Claire’ has over 19 years’ experience in social housing. She previously worked at CDS Housing and joined SLH in 2010 after previously spending time here on secondment.
Claire has a broad remit including ensuring compliance with regulatory and charitable requirements, leading on corporate strategy and policy whilst also having responsibility for Asset Management & Development, Governance, Employment & Enterprise and SLH’s commercial subsidiaries. Claire is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Housing.
Julie Marsh - Executive Director of Neighbourhood Management
Julie has worked for SLH since it was formed in October 1999 having previously worked for the housing department of Liverpool City Council.
Julie ensures our neighbourhoods are managed effectively and our customers feel safe and secure in their homes through a dedicated community safety team. Julie is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) having completed her term of office as chair of the North West CIH Board.
Colin Gibson – Executive Director of Culture and Communications
Colin joined SLH in 2013 and has extensive experience of running a strategic and operational human resources function within housing and the NHS.
Colin is responsible for ensuring that SLH’s HR strategy, policies and procedures are aligned with our corporate vision, aims and business objectives as well as overseeing our marketing and communications function. Colin specialises in HR changes which improve business performance and employee engagement and is experienced in culture change management.
